Fractal Technologies has released its second service pack for FracSIS 5.0, its popular data integration suite. FracSIS stores different forms of geological, geophysical, geochemical, drilling and spatial data in a single database, allowing that data to be presented in a unified 3D visualisation environment.
This Service Pack 2 release addresses customer requests as well as providing a number of new features that enhance the functionality and power of FracSIS 5.0.
Mark Morrison, Technical Director for Fractal Technologies noted, "This update includes several improvements and enhancements that will assist in the smooth running of the software and maintains our commitment to continued client support."
Amongst the features in Service Pack 2.0 are database enhancements, with reworked database clustering methods now efficiently supporting databases over 10GB which are increasingly common in FracSIS. New importers, including those for Geosoft grids and Micromine drillhole data, and enhancements to some existing translators have also been incorporated. For Datamine users, FracSIS now supports per-face colouring on Datamine wireframes.
